Solid flat cam in a 85 vette?

Got an extra original LT1 solid cam laying around and wondered how the knock sensor would handle that. I realize I would have to program the ecm to handle the bigger cam but I can handle that. Will it live or will the knock sensor freak out? Go with a roller sensor maybe? Thanks!

I have no idea but if you use the solid I would like to hear of how it works out.

If the knock sensor does have a problem with it the knock retard can be disabled in the calibration tables. The BBC with the '7747 didnn't run a knock system at all. It would come down to preference of whether you want an ESC system or not.

Gotta see if I get the '85 vette yet or not. If I do I am seriously kicking around the solid LT1 cam as it would be different. Don't know how well it would perform with a TPI manifold but it would be kinda cool....... Planning on running roller rockers so I don't have to adjust the lifters quite so often.
