winALDL log help
I have a WINALDL log i would like you guys to look at. How can i post it so you guys can download it. Or should i just email it to anyone interested in helping. I ran a disappointing 14.7@93 so i'm figuring out whats wrong. Also, the log was made with the i-pipe disconnected after the cat, will that effect results?
Thanks Guys

You can either place it on a site of your own and provide a link. Or can place it on Moates site: http://www.moates.net/fileman/
Just be sure to post back as to where it is along with any other info about the log.
Disconnecting after the cat won't affect the results. Well, O2 at least. It will reduce back pressure and affect the VE of the engine/system.

If this is your 1987 IROC-Z 355 are you aware that Moates data logger will run at a higher rate with more information? The '165 is capable of both 160 baud (WinALDL) and 8192 baud (Moates).

No i didn't, i will have to look into that. Anyway, i guess i should have explained it better. This post pretty much explains it. I'm trying to figure out why my car is 'slower' than what many run stock. Fuel pressure seems fine, but i think my blms seem a little high. Also i don't understand why the raw blms look so much worse than 'sensor' blms. Which is the correct one to analyze? Thanks for helping, i'm slowly figuring this stuff out.

Looking at the SENSOR OLDPA3 (knock counts) it looks like a lot of knock occured right as the car was launched or possibly the 1-2 shift (if that value is correct, see below for why I say this).
The O2 sensor is reporting above 900mV which may or may not be too high. At least it isn't too low.
The TPS% is only reporting 93%. Double check that the throttle body is completely opening. This one gets a lot of folks. If you have a floor mat that is enough to prevent a fully opening butterfly.
The data stream definition file may not be entirely correct. The SENSOR BLM and the SENSOR rich/lean Counter fields are both reporting the same numbers. That is not correct. With the SENSOR OLDPA3 adjacent to it those values may not be correct either. Same with the SENSOR MAT values.
If you can burn a PROM set the ALDL SA to 0° which will help prevent knock. Also try to get Moates software running for data logging. I recommend getting into PROM burning if you currently aren't.
Does the car turn the same time without the 10K resistor connected to the ALDL?

Without the aldl connected to the laptop the car feels the same. I would like to get into prom tuning but exhaust is first. I don't quite understand all of what you are saying. So some of the info doesn't look right? Perhaps something wrong, or a faulty ecm?
thanks for the help by the way
