error code 33
I have an error code 33 on an 87 TA 305 TPI.
If I understand this means low vacuum pressure at mass air flow sensor.
Is this a bad maf sensor or just a bad vacuum line?
It only does it intermitantly & usually if you shut it off for a few minutes it goes away, when I have the problem & the light is on
the engine runs really rough & has no power when the engine light goes out everything is OK. I do also have a higher than normal idle speed (1000 rpm in nuetral & 750 in drive) I haven't been able to get it to idle lower despite setting the base idle.
Please help me figure this out!!!!!

The 33 error code will put you in limp home mode, that is why the engine runs so crappy when the SES lite comes on due to a 33 error code.
Dosconnect the negative battery terminal and wait 2 to 3 minutes, then reconnect. This will erase the error code. Then warm up the engine and shut it off. Now do the idle speed IAC setting routine found on this board.
Also, check the TPS voltage at idle, it should be less than 0.64V.
Drive the car around and see if the error code is gone for good.
If not, come back on here.
BTW: I'm from Canton Ohio myself.
