Rbob,

dunno if you like PM's or anything like that, and I don't know how else to get a hold of you, so....I got some questions regarding LV8 calculations, in a thread a couple down from this one, along with the same kind of stuff for the BPW calcs(32b). why 32b? its what i'm running, so....might as well start there.

anyone else reading that can contribute, please do, not playing favorites or anything........

quick sum up- i'm drawing up a tuning doc. I can send via email what I have if you want to take a look, or even if you think I should just drop the concept.

if you want me to send it, drop me an email with your address at
jwscab@comcast.net

thanks
Joe

The LV8 calculation is as such:

LV8 = (((DRP * gms/sec) / 256) * Scalar) / 64

For an engine at 4,000 RPM and an airflow of 128 gms/sec with a scalar of 80:

LV8 = (((246 * 128) / 256) * 80) / 64

LV8 = 154

man, thats awesome, thanks alot! One thingi wanted to double check- is that scalar always 80? it looked that way in the hac, but again, my poor assembly skills don't let me know for sure.

Don't know if the scalar gets changed vs. calibration. It is in the cal data area at $C5B0 for $6E.

Ah, I gotcha. it looks to be set to that value for all three MAF masks.

now, for the BPW, does that calculation follow a similar format?

thanks!
