C950 questions???

For everyone that has a Commander 950 DFI on thier car, where did you tap into a 12v ignition on (even when key is in start position)?

And also, where have you mounted your ECM? Post some pics if you have them, thanks!

Don't have a 950, however, on retro-fits I tap into the fuse box. There are open taps marked 'ign' that are hot during crank and on. I use a fast-on (spade type lug) on the end of the wire and push it in.

RBob.

I feel kind of stupid because I just installed mine a couple months ago and I can't remember where I tapped into power IIRC I used the power wire that was already run over to the stock ECM (computer controlled carb originally), but I might have gone the route RBob suggested, which is what I usually do when adding an accessory. I'll double check when I get home for Christmas break. I also mounted the ECM in pretty much the same location as the stock unit. I used the mounting holes that were already there from the bracket for the original ECM and then just made sure to run a ground wire from the chassis of the C950 to a chassis ground on the dash frame. I did that because the stock ECM screws go into nylon speednut-type things in the dash framing so the C950 wouldn't ground directly through the mounting screws. When I get home I can pull my underdash panel off and snap a picture of how it looks mounted in there if you're interested, let me know. I'll also double check on the wiring...I can't believe I can't remember how I wired the darn thing up lol
