Transmission: 700R4
Can I swap computers?
I have a friend who has an 88 formula 350 that got burned in a shop fire. He now has bought an 87 formula 350. He wants me to swap the motor out of the burned car because it's "built". And he wants to use the chip out of the 88. can I plug the 88 computer into the 87 harness?

all of the computers should interchange just plug it in and try it...it cant hurt anything.if anything it wont run and just put the other one back in

Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt 3.27 / 10 Bolt 3.42
Its sad to hear about a formula getting destroyed. The ecm swap should be fine as both cars are formula 350s and use the MAF 165 ecm. Its nice to see some thirdgen owners on here from TN.
