Hello all. I finally hooked up my ecm after 4 years of it being disconnected. I tried to drive the car, but it wouldn't even make it to second gear before dying. It also seemed to be struggling to rev up. Disconnected it and the car ran the way it always has. I thought the computer was supposed to help. Do you think it could just be that my ecm has gone bad?My car does have all the ccc equipment. Just had never worked cause the ecm was never hooked up. Help please!

 

well it was the ecm. My friend has an 86 sports coupe with an lg4 and he let me try his computer on my car. the car worked great with it. the idle had never been so smooth on my car. I guess i have to go look for a new ecm tomorrow.
