ecm bad?

finally got a scanner on my motor today. the o2 sensor was slow switching between lean and rich and the ecm thought the engine was only at 85 degrees when the temp guage was at 180. the o2 sensor and coolant temp sensor are both new. just in case, i got another cts and the motor acts the same.....sometimes idles good, sometimes erratic. sometimes will shift into park and idle will rise to 1500rpms and stay there. considering a heated o2 sensor but want to try to get problem fixed first. the symptoms started after changing injectors which were the same size as the previous ones but before the new cts and o2 sensor. could the ecm be bad? have checked everything else.

Since you moved things around, you may have a bad or missing ground.
Sounds like the most probable since you have a new sensor.
ECM's are in the $20 to $50 range. Not a bad idea to have a spare.

i'll check the ecm grounds when the motor cools down. a spare ecm was what i was just scrounging the boneyard for. those things seem rare. may just buy a new one and get a spare later. with the exception of the o2 sensor, i'm at a loss as to what else it could be. thanks for the reply.
