A few Gen7 questions

I'm trying to tune my Gen7 sequential with dual sync distributor and idle and no-load conditions (because the car is not driveable yet) and have run into a few thinkgs.

1. IAC Counts - I can't find anywhere in the software where I can read this parameter. The IAC related dated that I get is % open. I am using a TB with a GM style IAC. Where can I find the count data and if it's not relevant to the GM IAC, what % open should I strive for at idle?

2. I would like to take the tables and put them into another software (like Microsoft Excell) for smoothing. Is there a way to export the Accell .tbl file format into something else and then back?

3. Can I unplug the injector harness, fuel pump, TPS and IAC and run the engine with a carb and mech fuel pump (i.e., let the Gen7 control ignition only)?

Thanks in advance.

John

as far as the iac counts i don't think there is a table to view them..and yes you can only view what percentage its open to(throttle follower)..i guess you want to shoot for whatever the car will idle at(before it wants to die..you will have to play with it..on mine i have it set anywhere between 30-35%,it seems i needed that so it won't stall when i put it in 1st gear..i can't help you with the other questions,sorry...i don't THINK you can run the car just on the spark tables and not the fuel, but i'm not 100% on that one.....

emtcee: Thanks. Why do the instructions and past posts here say to strive for 6 counts at idle when the only readout is in percent?

Hope to see/hear more about your car. This site has been great for learning about modern technology. I'm glad that everyone tolerates interlopers such as myself because there is no where else to go.

I should've posted my website: http://home.woh.rr.com/firebird67/

john,
i think maybe when your reading about iac counts they are refering to the gm ecm...(i could be wrong though)...yeah this site is great for alot of info, especially with the dfi...this is one area i had troble with in the begining...they are pretty cool here...i had an accel dfi gen 6 before i switched to gen7 so that helped me alot...are u tuning it yourself or did u take i somewhere? i am doing it myself...i had the gen6 tuned pretty good until th ecu took a crap so i had to upgrade...now i pretty much started all over again...anyway if u need more help i will TRY to elp u out just pm me...your car looks great!!!!awesome job...if u want u can check out mine here...
