Prom & Injectors

Hey all...Think i might have narrowed this down...Car is running like crap and continues to die and not start...Replaced ECM with a remand one and seemed to help the no start for a few days but the past 4 days its getting worse and worse...It has started to die while driving then like 2 seconds later fire back up...But when i shut it down it wont start for like an hour, sometimes longer...When it starts it aint running to good and usually dies and wont start again...Car wont start now so i went and checked the ohms on the injectors...1.6 ohms...I was pretty sure it was the injectors dieing out...I removed the prom with the car on ON yesterday ( forgot to turn it off ) and when i fire it up its running like a champ...Drive about 1/2 a mile and back to normal...Barelly got it home...Then the no start happened again and couldnt get it started till today...Idled for about 2 minutes then died and no start again...So my question is i just ordered a new prom from Pontiac...Could it be the prom causing all these problems? Its about the only thing left that i havnt replaced...TIA

Now i am stumped...If i remove the harness from injector #3 the car starts and idles pretty good...I just took it for a ride and the low rpm hesitation is gone but the car feels like its running on 7 cylinders ( makes sense )...If i plug the harness back on the car dies immediatly...Disconnect it and the car fires right up... ...I'm not getting an ohm reading from #1 and #3 injector...I got a reading from # 4 injector for a few minutes...Was bouncing between 15-19.5...Now i get no reading from any of them... ...HELP

Ohm out the individual injectors while hot. They need to be between 12 & 16 ohms. The stock Multec injectors usually fail by shorting (low ohms reading). This is a very common occurrence today. They are reaching the age of failure.

Pulling the harness plug from #3 helps confirm this. That particular injector is nearly shorted out completely. When that happens the ECM can no longer pulse the remaing injectors.

Thanks RBob...Looks like i'll be putting in 8 Motorsport injectors this weekend...Wish i realized this 2 weeks ago when i got the car...2 weeks of replacing everything wasted...Well at least its got a full tune up and a bunch of new sensors now...
