what ecm do i have in my 91 camaro rs? where can i take my car to have it tuned?

 

Most likely the 1228746 with $61 mask you would only need it tuned if you did some MAJOR engine modifications like new cam, rocker arms, intake, fuel pressure, exhaust, heads, etc. Your best bet is to buy the equipment and do it yourself. Check the posts at the top of the TBI forum and start DIY tuning. Let's you change for free if you decide to change certain parts and need a retune, and you get a little closer to the inner workings of your car. Besides it's cheaper to do it yourself with all the help here.

 

would it work with a 350tbi or should i get one from a 350 car?

 

Well it might be more involved to swap a 1228747 ECM but i'm not sure. If it is a 350 TBI motor from a Camaro, Firebird, or Caprice, then i would swap in the 350 ECM. but Otherwise keep the 1228746 which is what you have and tune from there with more fuel pressure. Check the 305 to 350 swap thread towards the top in the TBI forum.
