questions on dfi 6

questions on dfi 6
i may be buying an accell dfi 6 to use on my car instead of megasquirt.
i didnt get the part number from the guy yet but its one for a v8 motor.
ill post up the number soon as i get it
my ? is can these be used on a 6 cyl engine
compared to other systems out there how easy/hard are they to tune?
are there any draw backs to the dfi system
for those of u that dont know. my car its an 89 rs with a 92 3.1L engine that is turbocharged
or do u think i would be better off just going ahead with the mega squirt
