hi need some help with an intermitent code 44 ..after abut 15 mins of driving it comes on and the car misses a bit but wil clear up around 2500 rpm..cruise along at 2500 for 15 mins light goes out.then .on and off etc ...im running a 383 mini ram..dart pro 1 heads..11 to1..580 comp cam..1.6 rockres..ford motor sport 30lb injectors.... msd dist.. descreened maf..3800 stahl art carr 700r4 and 373 plus my in take pump with an inline pump..and i also get weird crackling or slight snapping sound from the exhaust at cruising speeds really cant hear it under full throttle..the exhaust is edelbrock shorties in a real dual exhaust stepped 2/12 then to 3 with no cats and magnaflow mufflers..car is an 89 gta stock ecm and a prom by tpis..any help greatly appreciated

 

any ideas ..my fuel pressure is at 50..

 

Code 44 is O2 sensor lean, which fits with your description of the missing. By the sounds of your post the tune needs to be better. There are areas where not enough fuel is being delivered. Have you data logged and checked the BLM values along with the injector PW? That would help in knowing what is going on.

thanks for the reply..i really am not to familiar with that although i have been reading a bunch on the entire subject..would it matter if the chip was cut for 24 and i upgraded to 30lb /hr injectors and did not change the chip..its from tpis..do you know of a good place to get a chip cut/ thanks again
