i just now got my EBL flash put into my car. (thanks BOB) the self install was pretty simple. im in the process of downloading tunerpro. and after reading as much as i could stand about tuning i still have some questions.

what do i start tuning first?

i have a 350 vortec with a TBI setup-im gonna start with a bin from a TBI 350 swirlport head engine just to get things running(is this ok?). any pointers on the best ways to tune.
i know this is kindof repetitive but sometimes the answers are a little confusing to a guy that doesnt have any tuning expereince

thanks in advance

Re: EBL newby question
after playing with the EBL today most of my questions were answered (i quess my first post was alittle premature)

however i am still confused on how or where to adjust the ignition timing curve

im not completely sure if i should be using another program to alter my BIN's or if i can do it all with the "whats up" that came with my EBL-need more fiddlin time

if someone could offer a linky for my questions i would be very gratefull

my comp is having a very bad day-it has taken me 4 times to get this message to post and the search function makes my computer fart

thanks

Re: EBL newby question
You will need to use the BIN supplied with the EBL Flash setup (ebl_f_tb.bin) . Along with the Ebl_v23.xdf file and TunerPro.

For a timing table, 91chevyz71 posted some in this thread:

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-...s-require.html

Start off by setting the parameters shown in the EBL_Information.html document. These are the common ones such as displacement, SA table, injector flow rate, etc. Then start the engine, warm it up and see how it runs.

Start off with enabling the VE Learn to auto-learn the VE tables. Check for spark knock, adjust accordingly. Take it easy on the engine, don't go out flooring it. As the VE table is learned in take the engine a little higher in load & RPM.

Once you work with the WUD along with the engine it will get easier. And the engine will run better.

RBob.
