86 305 ecm

Hey guys me and a friend of mine just finished up a 305 to 350 swap on his 1986 trans am not to long ago and we know we need to get a 350 knock sensor, ESC module and 22 injectors but what about the ECM? will i be needing to do something with that and if so what are my options? any help would be apreciated! thanks!.

Sounds like a TPI setup, yes??

The 305 & 350 used the same ECM (1227165). The calibration (MEMCAL) is different. Once you replace the 19#'ers with the 22's it will run OK with the 305 calibration. The maximum that should be done is to replace the MEMCAL with one for a 350.

Note that they are only available for auto transmission equip'd cars.

I wouldn't even swap the knock sensor and module unless it becomes an issue.
