new to tuning

Ok i have a 92 camaro with a 95 lt1 just about ready to go in. Anyway i only have a few upgrades 58 throttle body slightly milled heads and a comp cams 306 and of course headers egr and AIR pump removed. my question is. How hard is it to tune your own computer. i know the 94 95 computers can be flashed but my question is is it difficult to figure out tunercat? and what else would i need besides this. My question is this program user friendly or does it just give you a list of numbers you have to change. any instuction at all? i just dont want to be in the dark, or invest all this money get a mail order tune and not see the full potential of the motor. any help would be awsome. anyone in NE PA that would swing by and gimmi a hand or some advice would be great and i'ld be happy to throw a couple bux your way for the troubles. Sometimes having an expert over your shoulder is the best way to learn. Thanx in advance.

Re: new to tuning

If you understanding tuning, springs, jets, rods, weights, you won't have any issues.

Not to take any thunder from this board, but the LT1 is quite well documented on ImpalaSSforum.com.

But feel free to post here and there any questions. You will be in good hands.

I do a lot, so feel free to PM me on Cadillacforums.com (I am there mostly) or Monodax.com, I have done a lot of LT1 work on my Fleetwood. I am on ImpalaSSforum some, but not as often as the other forums.

But take the time to look over the settings and options. If something doesn't make sense, search and if you can't find it, post about it. The LT1 PCM is WELL documented, but honestly, not 100% complete, we still bug TC about adding new stuff to the definition file. 14+ years old and more is still being added....
