How to tell what I have??
Ok. I purchased an 87 Iroc-z that the previous owner had swapped in a 350 5.7 motor. I was just curious if there is a way to tell what kind of computer is in the car? the car came stock with a 305 and I know a chevy dealer put in the 350 but I am curious if the dealership also swapped in a new ecm or programmed it for the 350.. I am assuming that the 305 computer would work with the 350 but would not give all the power that the 350 is supposed to have.. so just wondering if there is a way to tell what i am currently running. Thanks

Drop the ECM, open it up, and check the MEMCAL. On the PROM within the MEMCAL should be a silver sticker with a 4-letter code. That code specifies which calibration is being used. There are pic's of the MEMCAL up top in the sticky.
If you post the 4-letter code (the BCC), we can let you know what the calibration is for.
ECM should be under the dash on the passenger side. Silver box if OEM, may be painted black if a re-man.
