Help I can't figure this out
okay here is what happened to me. I have been working on my project. I got the car running and all. I decided to supercharge it so i needed to change my computer system program right. Im in school and i had a lot of test and I was waiting for some computer termials to come in, so I didnt mess with the car for about a month. so i went out a last weekend to mess with it again. i turned the key and nothing.. no fuel pump or anything. so i pulled the fuel pump and it went bad. so i replaced the fuel pump. i connected the battery before installing the new fuel pump and it came on. so i disconnected the battery, installed the fuel pump. i proceeded to hook up the battery and nothing... so i messed with my fuel pump relay to and ran a wire to it to energize it and the fuel pump came on. then i tested to see if my computer is getting power, and it is.. i cant figure out what is wrong. ive burned a couple of chips and still nothing, my injectors arent firing at all, nothing was disconnected but the fuel pump. i even got a new computer and still nothing.. could it be my mecal adapter going bad.. ive also checked all the fuses and everything is good, and ive checked all my grounds.. please help..

Re: Help I can't figure this out
Fuel pump is activated by the distributor reference pulses.
Check the pickup coil and wiring to the distributor.
Once a pulse occurs then the output for the FP relay is turned on (for 2 seconds aprox)
If the fuel pump relay fails, there is a pressure switch on the engine oil sending unit that will engage the pump once oil pressure is established.
Injectors not pulsing could be the VATS system if its 89' or newer or just because there are no reference pulses indicating the engine is turning.

Re: Help I can't figure this out
Injectors not pulsing could also be an issue with INJ1 and INJ2 fuses, the injector driver (within the PCM) or wiring from the PCM the ground leads of the injectors or B+ wiring to the injectors from INJ1 and INJ2 fuses or all of the above in the previous post
