will any of these programs Tune a "730" MAP setup?

Im lookin to go to a local shop to have my setup dyno tuned but i cant get my Tunerpro RT to read my OBD1 so i giving up on that deal. The shops web site says they deal a lot with "Accel DFI, F.A.S.T, Holley Commander 950, Edelbrock Proflo and many others" will any of these work with my "730" map setup? Maybe i can just take them the tunnerproRT program and they can load it on there comp and get it to run right.... also they charge $110 an hour for dyno tunning, how long should it take to get it runnin right u think? I would like to know about how much money im lookin at spending on a deal like that! thanks

There was a guy on here who had a problem similar to yours. Does the ECM flash code 12? If it does, if I may make a suggestion, repin the ALDL data wire from pin M to pin E, second from the left side when installed. If that doesn't work, then the ECM could be junk.

when should it be flashin code 12? I know when i do the paper clip trick to check for codes it will flash 1......1-2.......1.......1-2.....on the dash with the check engine light. but that just means there are no codes!

I have checked the laptop to make sure the com ports are right and i think they are. Im just sick of messin with it and im not all that good at computer stuff when it comes to that sort of thing so i gave up last year. Now im lookin to have it tuned....maybe ill take my laptop with the tunnerpro and see if the shot can figure it out i dont know what to do.

I was running into this problem too when trying to connect to my ECM. I didn't have a pin in E though. If you look at my thread "need a pic/pinout of aldl connector" you'll see what i am talking about. Anyway you don't need to jumper the car to go into service mode in order to datalog. With tuner RT, plug into the connector and make sure your cable is setup on the correct comm port on your laptop and hit connect. The tab at the bottom should go blue when connected. Again don't jumper to go into service mode.

No, you don't need to jumper the car into codes mode to datalog... It's to prove the ECM capable of doing either or. Which is why there is a flowchart in the FSM for "No Scan Tool Data or ECM Won't Flash Code 12".

And code 12 IS a code... It means that the ECM isn't receiving reference pulses from the ignition module, meaning either the engine isn't running or there is something screwy in either the module or the reference circuit.

Also, in some cases, there is a way to test the interface cable itself for proper integrity, depending on how it connects to your computer.
