to buy a tuner or pay for a tune

i need to get my camaro tuned bad so i want to know if it would be better to pay a company to tune it for me or buy one so that i can change things when i put new things on. paying someone will cost $400-500. for me to buy one it would be $350 so i would save some cash. i have tryed looking for someone on here who has one to take a look at it but i cant seem to find anyone. i live in the chicago land area
