Accel DFI Gen 7 MAP discrepancy

Has any one ever run across a discrepancy on MAP values when using the DFI software? We were concerned on the dyno how I could only pull 89 kpa in a datalog. Now when I get looking and do a fuel analysis on all my logs, the MAP shows 7-10 higher than a graph analysis, which makes sense where my kpa was.

How can I change that, or what issue am I having?

Much thanks for any thoughts!

I had a similar issue. I was seeing a best of 88-89 on the MAP and couldn't figure out what it was for the longest time. You caught me after having not looking at it for a long time, but I think you need to change the scale. I think it's in the setup where you pick the MAP Configuration/Display. FOr instance, I have mine set to 1 Bar / Speed Density, KPa. But I had it before as a %MAP, which gave me strange readings.

Let me know what yours is set for under the engine configuration editor.

Thanks for the reply.

Right now I have the scale set the same as you do- 1 Bar / Speed Density kpa.

Ok, now check to see what you are logging. That's the other issue. make sure if you're datalogging you're also using MAP KPa, not MAP % (what I did) or MAP PSI, or even worse, Scaled MAP KPa. If you do that, are you still seeing the odd results?

PS - This sounds exactly like what I did, and on datalog, I had it set to MAP % because that's the first one you see (and usually it defaults to it). I'd wager that's going to be the issue - that you just need to log MAP KPa instead.

You got it!

Thanks again, sometimes it takes an outsider to catch something obvious. I also used MAP % and never questioned it because it was the default.

Moving onward.....
