lt1 injection to carb questions

Ok i have a 1997 lt1 i pulled from a 97 trans-am that i plan on putting in a 76 camaro, first i want to convert it to carb, what is the cheapest/easyest way to get the distributor to run without the factory ecm/pcm? does anyone sell a distributor that will fit this engine without block modifications that runs as a stand alone unit? or is there somewhere i can get a controller that will run the distributor by itself without needing all the injectors and senceors runing? any tips or info would be greatly appreciated.

Re: lt1 injection to carb questions

The best way i found was to get a lt1 carb intake and put a regular rear mounted HEI distributor on, i got the GMPP LT1/LT4 2 plane carb intake and it seems to work, i think mopar also makes intakes for lt1 carb setups, not sure whole else does, i've seen where some people pluged the wholes for the optispark with plugs or welds but i just removed the roter and left it on there to fill the whole.
