does anyone know if the prompaq with the 4 chips is still available? and where to get them or a website for the company?

Wow, blast from the past.
I had one in 1992, then sold it in 1997.

I kind of doubt that it's available from the original supplier, but it is fairly easy to make. There's some information here:

If you don't want to attempt it Mr. Craig Moates may be able to supply you with the type of chip switcher you need.
