1227730 harnesses
Hello,
I need to add a little length to my engine harness to be able to slide the ECM into the right kick panel correctly in my 442. I discovered that the 1227730 ECM that I have in my car was also used in the Beretta/ Corsica with the 3.1. Would the pin out be the same so I could use a set of plugs with a few extra inches of wire to get my ECM where I need it? Did any of the other GM cars with the 3.1 have the 1227730 also? Was there an under hood version of the 1227730 that I could use and just mount it under the hood? Or would the plugs be different on that as well?
Thanks in advance,
This is an awesome site! I have been doing a lot of research for my 442 project.

The '7730 was used in a lot of various GM cars, 2.8l, 3.1l and 4-cyl TBI cars used them. Along with the '90-'92 port injected f-body's. They should be a list of cars in the tech pages here on TGO. VIN W comes to mind for the MPFI FWD cars.
The under hood ECM (1227727) uses completely different connectors. These were used in Corsica's among other cars.

Thanks RBob,
I found the info in the electrical section of the tech articles. I had looked in the carb/efi section previously with no luck.
