92 rs TBI auto, just dropped in a t-5 and wondering does the current ECM have the manual programing in it? for like the shift light and such?

 

Not really, the code is there but the calibration won't be set up for it. If you install the shift light it will illuminate when the ECM locks up the TCC.

Yes & no, 98% of the time using an auto calibration on a stick car works. That is to have a decent rank to run and idle. Won't have a shift light, but does it matter.

The real issue with auto/stick swaps is the opposite. Use a stick calibration with an auto and the TCC lock up goes to H-in-a-handbasket. Note that this is not this way with every code mask. But it is true with the 3rd gen TBI ECMs.
