o2 sensor... just how important is it?

I've been having to dual peddle it to work and I'm having severe breaking issues, long story short is I'm broke and now I gotta find a way to rig this to get back and forth to work... all I've heard is that it will make my gas mileage terrible and I'm not all too worried about that... will this potentially damage my motor or what? I'm tired of stalling and praying my car cranks in the nick of times almost got sideswiped the other day and it didn't feel too cool so please help me out here, I plan on fixing all this next friday

Its a big part of fueling in closed loop. Without it, i'm not sure what happens but i think it goes into limp mode or just runs **** poor because it doesnt have a signal. You can run without one if you had ecm setup for open loop operation but I'm not too familiar with how the 3.1 systems worked.

pull codes atALDL. Free diagnostic at auto parts store. stop by nearest one. they would like you to buy the parts from them.

If the stock OEM injectors are still in the engine it is time to replace them. See South Bay Injectors for a set of reman Bosch that won't break the bank. By now the stock OEM Multec's will be shorting out the coils causing the engine to die.

Also, if you disconnected the battery need to do an idle learn. Other wise it can stall on throttle lifts and such. Search the V6 board here for the learn procedure.
