I pulled my ecm out to look at the computer since my engine was put in wit too.car was a 305 carbon engine now tpi..my numbers are 88999194 and chip reads abwn 8656..16055376...would be greatful for any help with these numbers...

 

The broadcast code ABWN is from a 1987 camaro with a 305 tpi with a 5 speed manual transmission and california emissions. This was ran in the 1227165 ecm. Are you looking for this someone to burn you this .bin on a memcal? or have yours reburned?

 

The superseded number for the 1227165 are 16198259 and 16198445 all the same thing !!

acdelco's site shows the 88999194 as being the same as the 1227165.

 

My car has been giving me Hell latly so I thought I might as well replace the ecm and chip since I can't find any shop here that knows anything abt these engines..so just seeing so I would know what to buy..if ya know anyone that does CHIPS THEN YES

 

you do know that you can take the ecm out of your 89 tpi and put the abwn in. to verify if it's a bad ecm. the memcal almost never fails.
