EBL Users, help a n00b out please

That n00b would be myself. I have just recently installed my EBL Flash with the Port Mod Option. I did the pin out correctly and installed the MAP as well. The WUD is working correctly as I can see all of the sensors working correctly and all of the data. I have done several data learns and VE learns at the same time. I have been out driving and for roughly 10-15 minutes at a time while doing a datalog and a VE Learn. After I have completed my driving I would do a playback of the datalog. Once that would complete, I would reflash from the WUD. After the reflash, my car won't start. And I end up having to do another datalog and VE Learn thinking the previous ones weren't good enough. Same result. I know it's something simple that I am not doing so please enlighten me. Am I supposed to be combining tables with excel or using tunerpro initially?

All I do while logging and learning is: set the learn up, the first dialog box that comes up when you start a learn asks what tune your currently running. Then the next one asks what you want the new tune to be called. I just have them going in sequence of numbers. So right now my tune is TUNENAME_0032.BIN. The next learn I do I will select that name in the first dialog box then it automatically names the modified tune to be TUNENAME_0033.BIN so I just press enter whenever the next dialog comes up.
Now that the learn is set up I then drive however long and once I stop I end the datalogging and the VE Learn. I go to the flash screen and select the next bank I want to tune to, then have program blank selected, then select my bin. In that case it would be the next tune(TUNENAME_0033.BIN) Then I hit apply. That should be it.
You now should have the new tune with the modifications that the VE Learn did to the VE tables.
A few things to note. When your flashing make sure the key is in the on position. As well as having the verify and set bank active buttons selected. The set bank active is a MUST if your doing multiple learns.
Make sure you read through the Intro to Tuning Part 1 and 2 on www.dynamicefi.com. That should answer most anything you need to know about setting everything up and doing learns.

For some reason the next tune wasn't matched to my original. My original had MPFI in the display and the new one had TBI. I copied the original BIN to user BINs and erased the datalogs and BINs. It's working properly now. I'm up to 4 VE Learns now. RBOB helped tremendously with the PM's I sent. Just got to get more VE Learns this weekend and get my lean cruise mode smoothened out. It stutters some while in lean cruise mode, but Closed Loop mode isn't on. I'm thinking adjusting the HWY MPH will fix.

For the lean stutter in highway mode, look at the MAP KPa and richen the highway AFR table at that area. Try subtracting .5 AFR from it. It may also be the MPH entry threshold, which increasing it will help.

I've recently been trying lean cruise as low as 35 MPH, and the engine didn't like it. It too would stutter on light throttle. IIRC, it is now at 44 MPH along with making it a tad richer at the MAP KPa under light throttle. Much better but still a hint of stutter.

During lean cruise the ECM will drop out of closed loop. It will continue to use the current BLM for fuel trim. As it takes some time for an engine to stabilize when on the highway, the ECM will drop out of lean cruise and allow the BLM to adjust, then go back into lean cruise.

It does this on a continuous basis to maintain the proper AFR while in lean cruise.

RBob.
