Just bought an 88 drop top yesterday.....have a few ECM questions.

OK here's the deal, just bought the car yesterday in Peoria, has a few issues that I would like to address relatively quickly, with the main one being that it is running super rich particularly when idling. I have very limited history on the car as it seems to have been in a few hands (probably third genners) over the past ten years, with the most recent owner knowing almost nothing (traded his 68 vette for the IROC and a 68 chevelle). On the good side, I did receive some receipts with the car, and I know the Accel injectors are 30#. I was told that it was a 383 stroker (runs more like a 383 than a 350). Visually I can tell it has SLP long tube headers, Borla cat back, Alum. heads (Vortec I think), Crane Gold 1.6 RR, Accel Super Ram, and BBK TB. Included with the receipts was a cam card that i'm thinking sounds like it's probably the one in the car (PowerMax 2030, 457/481 260/270).....ya pretty mild I thought too with the rest of the goodies. I'm thinking it has a Hyperjunk chip as well as there was a receipt for that as well. My main question is what would be my best route to go as far as leaning this thing out with its current tune? I plan on swapping in 26#ers tonight but I have my doubts if this will work. I don't really won't to go the DFI route like I have on my Procharged 88 ($$ and PITA to find a good tuner). What do you guys suggest?

The answer is up there in the stickies at DIY-Prom. If all mechanically is good then it needs a tune aka a corrected chip.

ECU is 1227165.

I stand corrected, the car is actually an 89. Current ECM IS 1227727. Do you know anyone that could assist in tuning?
