EBL P4 VE Learn

I just got an ebl p4 for my car. I have been doing ve learns for it. My question is, can I do a ve learn for the car while it is in open loop? I need to work on the drivability when its not warmed up yet.

Re: EBL P4 VE Learn

I am of belief the Learn is from NB or WB 02 sensor feedback. With no feedback(OL) how can there be Learn? With a WB and at PE mode a commanded A/F can be had. Other than that part throttle needs 02 sensor functionality I believe. Interest thought to allow a Learn to a specific A/F though.

Re: EBL P4 VE Learn

Thanks, yeah that makes sense. I guess i'll just have to do a few datalogs to see whats going on then. Another quick question, If I install my old prom back into the ecm so that I can have my knock filter back, will it affect any of the learns or changes made to the ecm so far?

The EBL.bin is specific to the EBL-ECU. What ever was learned on the GM.bin will be seen by GM.bin. they are not interchangeable and same on .xdf

Yes, the VE Learn is from either BLM (CL) or Wideband AFR (OL)...

Go to the Dynamic EFI website, Bob spent a lot of time explaining everything for the user.
