?? about DFI and distributors...

I read in GMHTP this month that "project magnum TPI" would be getting gen7 accell. Johnny said something about an MSD dual sync distrubutor. Is this going to be nessecary for ver 6.32 with Accell harness (no jumper)? Or should I get an aftermarket replacement small cap HEI?

If I understand your question, the stock type distributor works with the Ver6 DFI. And Aftermarket replacement of similar type wouldn't hurt, though.

Thanks RCR, I would just use an off the slelf adapter? I'm gonna have to call someone at accell or MSD. I guess.

I dug up the article in GMHTP that you mentioned. Johnny mentioned using the dual-sync distributor because he's planning on using the sequential fuel injection feature of the Gen7 controller. The sequential system requires a feed-back signal to know which cylinder is firing. The batch-fire system of Ver6 doesn't need it, since it fires on all cylinders.
