Is this a good way to go to have DFI
Is this a good way to go to have DFI
I have a zz430 and i need Dfi that will pull strong to 6000 rpm. Accel makes the computer kit to install a lt1 into any vehicle. What if I found the fuel injection off a lt1 and used the accel computer for 900 to run it?

If you run the LT1 ignition, then you will need the LT1 DFI. If you plan to do John Millican's conversion, then the factory ECM or standard DFI will work. (That's what I'm doing).

Good article!
A couple of questions,
what fires the stock Lt1 ingnition, sensor on the crank?
Where are the bolt down holes? My Fastburns have holes drilled on an angle and holes that go strait in. The Manifold I am using now, Has 2 bolts in every corner going strait down.

The stock LT1 uses the Opti-Spark ignition. I believe it is somehow integrated onto the timing chain cover/water pump. Not really sure. I think the extra long pin on the cam is part of it.
As for the intake, it is redrilled to match stock L-98 type heads. Check out the messages on the TPI forum for more info.
