Accel gen VII cable from LT1 cable

I was wondering if I could use a LT1 edit cable with a gen VII accel system. can I just cut the aldl connector off and connect the 4 wires to a flat 4 pin connector to plug into the accel computer.

The lt1 cable has a rs232 chip inside the box, same as accel box I'm told.

Anyone ever tried this?

Most likely no. Do you not have an Accel comm cable?

I have a LT1 Edit cable from old Camaro.

No Accel cable. Was trying to keep from having to spend $240 for another cable was all.

I assume your talking about a cable only, no key?

What functions does cable with no key have access to?

Correct no key. You'll still be able to open up a lot of screens. Until you're real familiar with it you're better off without it.

Let me double check but I am sure I have an older serial cable one laying around. No key just the cable.

I am having difficulty finding the plug for the cable. Is it hidden somewhere in the harness. Guess i'm not looking in the right place?

There's a flat 4 pin pigtail coming off the main harness up by the ECM. It'll say "Calmap".
