header install, now code 21 for high TPS

Hi guys,

I installed a Flowtech header (*no AIR), Flowtech y pipe, with Edelbrock SDT exhaust, and fitted a new 3.73 auburn over the last week. (into a 305TPI with 700R4 1992 Z28 Convert)

last night, I finally finished and took her for a ride. (wasn't super impressed with sound after all the work)

took it for a ride, ran well, no codes on a 3-4 mile ride. noticed the coolant line to the TPI throttle body was leaking fluid tightened it and went to sleep.

woke up to bring car to work today, RPMs swelled to 4-5K and threw a code 21 for TPS voltage too high... is this right? I haven't ever had a TPS issue before, and didn't touch the TPS when installing the coolant line, so confused. I will pull a meter and see what it does after work, but wondering if this has ever happened to anyone?

3-4 times a year I will throw a barometric sensor code but goes away after the engine is shut off.

could this be anything particular I need to look for? again, no issues last night, so very weird to throw this code now and be so high on RPM

Check the EFI harness grounds on the back of the passenger cylinder head.

Note that a '92 doesn't have a barometric sensor. If it was code 33 or 34 that is for the MAP sensor.

Too coincidental being in that same area, it sounds like you inadvertently pinched the harness somehow when playing with the coolant fitting near the TPS sensor. Check the Blue wire in the TPS connector for a short, and if so, follow the wire back until you find the source...
