EBL Flash + Digital Dash

Hi Guys,

I recently installed Flash as part of a t56 swap in my digital dash 87 gta, but just after the ecu swap, the gas guage was having trouble calibrating. It would register at full for a long time before beginning to cycle from empty to full and back again. Did this for a few days before figuring itself out and (more or less) registering the correct fuel amount again.

Now, I haven't been able to figure out yet if the digital gas guage ran through the ECU, but it's having trouble registering the correct amount of fuel in the tank since the EBL flash swap. It didn't have any issue before .

Would anyone have any idea if the digital guage is actually running through the '165 ECM? If not, what else would cause the guage to recalibrate periodically if it never did before? Voltage leak from the repinned ECU harness?

Thanks!

Re: EBL Flash + Digital Dash

ECM doesn't have anything to do with the gas gauge. The tank sender is 90 ohms full and 0 ohms empty.

There is also a voltage regulator for the dash that may be going bad.

Excellent. That makes the problem a lot easier to solve.

Thanks for the quick reply!
