i have a 92 camaro and im looking to swap my tired 305 tpi to the chev sp383 crate with first tpi intake. I have no idea what to do about the ecm and im hopeing to use my original harness. I thought i found a soloution with the direct plug in haltech sports gm however it looks like it is only recomended for tpi camaros upto 89 not 92. Just wondering if anyone knows why it wont work on a 92 tpi?

 

Looks like it’s speed density. You could repin the 730 to 165 configurations or look into dynamic efi ebl p4.

 

Or just retune the existing 7730? That seems like the easiest way IMO.

SAUJP bin as a start with WB O2 hooked up to TunerproRT. Should be able to get that dialed in on no time.

I think haltech is map based not maf.
Map works just fine but if you want to go maf you would need to repin your wiring harness and use a 1227165 ecm. You would need a esc module and maf power and burn off relay circuit.

Mayby the ebl p4 flash would be a good idea. I have no tuneing exp at all and im looking for something to run a new sp383 crate engine with a first tpi intake
