Hi all, I need some advice and help about my ecm, I have an 83 firebird crossfire injection, according to the net my ecm is a 1226026, there are no labels on my ECM, firstly I am getting no 2 second prime as well as no fuel pump turn on when trying to start, I have done all the usual checks and I am not getting any power from pin 17 or pin 18 at the ECM so I pretty much gather that my ECM is in a sad state, first thing is I am getting code 12 from diagnostic but no additional codes, would it be safe to bypass the ECM and put 12volts to the fuel pump to drive the car?, I am worried that doing so may cause problems with the transmission but with no additional codes I'm thinking it may be OK,


The other problem for me is trying to locate an ECM, I have been able to locate a 1226025 but not a 1226026, does anyone know the difference between them?, I can get a 1228746 or 1227747 which I have been told both will work but I am unable to get any connectors for those ECMs, does anyone have a 1226026 or the correct connectors for the other two ECMs?, being in the UK makes it a little difficult for me to pop out to the local salvage yard to locate the parts needed, can someone help?
