AFR gauge install in an unmolested car

I’m looking to add an AFR gauge in an unmolested car, not one cut wire, not one hole drilled.

I believe this to be the best forum for my question as this group had the most activity in my search.

What was your route to get the O2 harness into the car? There’s not much to choose from on the drivers side? I plan to mount the gauge using the drivers hush panel hardware in front of the OBDI plug in a simple bracket.

85 TA LG4 export non ccc Quadrajet.

not my 3rd Gen, but same thing on my c6. I didn't want to deal with drilling and mounting gauges. I bought the one where the module is hidden and out put run into my logging software. happens to be hptuners on that that one. and I use the phone blue tooth app to view real time.

just let it sit on your pass seat and use it until your AFR is dialed in, and then remove it form the car.
zero reason to have it any more than that

I have the same one in a gauge pod. I certainly did not drill a hole. I came in through an existing grommet on the firewall. Can't remember which but there's way to get in without an additional hole. You can even come up through the transmission tunnels shift boot if it's a stick or the grommet for the shift cable on the auto.

I ran it through the passenger window for the time I was using it to tune.
Used a clamp and mounted it to the e-brake handle, not the best location but it worked and didn't leave any holes.

If your 85 doesn't have a O2 sensor, you'll have to drill and mount the sensor which can be plugged after.

you can get one of these and hook it up to power and ground on the O2 sensor gauge. Then just plug it into the cigarette lighter...

Not a bad thing to use if you already have it. Caught a plenum gasket failure when it started to read to lean. I would not have bought one if it weren't for the fact I needed it for tunning though.
