Converting Volksawagen Golf to GM TBI...
My friend has this POS '88 Volkswagen Golf and he's using it for an SCCA rally car. It has this gawd awful fuel injection...um...thing on it. I'm want to chop up his intake and fit a TBI to it. After I fit the TBI to it all I have left is making a Frankenstein distributer out of the current one and a cavalier distributer, and getting all the senors to fit.
With the PROM all done up right will the fuel injectors be able to pulse slow enuf to cope with 1.8 liters?
Did the Cavalier ever have the 7747 ECM? Maybe an S-10 with a 4 banger?
