Will L98 DFI files work with an LT1?
I have a pretty stout LT1 motor dropped into my camaro, and I'm getting ready to fire it up. Now I have base programming on my DFI unit, and I've talk to a few people and they say that the car may or may not even start with the base programming! So since 4th gen guys usually reprogram their stock computers, and don't run DFI, I was thinking that MAYBE I can bum someones L98 DFI programming just to start my car and drive the car about 15 miles to the local race shop to get the car dyno tuned. The DFI computers are the same right, just a different wiring harness? My DFI is 74022-L. Thanks, and if anyone has a programming file in the ballpark of ported heads, and an LPE219 camshaft, please let me know! Thanks again!

As I recall the intervals aren't evenly spaced on the low resolution part of the Opti.
The 8051 (1995) PCM is a nice piece to work with.

Yup, they made the DFI work with the optispark, but it doesn't use either the high or low res signal, i forget. But the fuel maps and timing tables would be more or less compatible?

I'd like to help you out. I don't have an LT1, but I do have an LT1 intake with LT4 Hot cam. The problem is that my engine is in a thousand pieces, and I don't even have a battery in the car right now. I'd need to download the program to disk. I'll try to remember tonite and see what I can do.

RCR, you do seem to have a fairly similar camshaft in your car so it could make our timing curves and fuel maps somewhat compatible. If you could help me out any, I'd greatly appreciate it...Thanks!
BTW, what size injectors do you have?

Thanks a lot for the file! This should really give me a good base programming to get my car going, at least get it to the dyno shop. And thanks for reminding me to update my profile
