DFI tuning help needed... asap
DFI tuning help needed... asap
I have recently started and driven my Supercharged Iroc, I have not had much experience with the DFI system so i'm learning, so far i'm really really lost, i have read the manual multiple times. The first problem is that when i drive going say 25 and let off the car undershoots idle and sometimes dies, so i adjusted the throttle follower but it still does it, i've jacked it up alot, do i need to just keep going till it doesn't do it? will that harm anything? The other problem i'm having is that i can't the air/fuel ratio meter ever to come up on the base fuel map because the engine never gets pas 130-140, i have the fan temp set at 171 in the dfi but i have a Jet low temp fan switch, is that effecting it? The last thing is that i'm debating on wether or not getting rid of the FMU and getting bigger injectors for one less variable to adjust. Is this wise? I'm thinking about upgrading from 24 to 30, i know this doesn't belong on this board but it involves the ease of tuning and i'm sure some of you have done this or discussed this before. Thanks

Iowa eh,
How close to Ames are you? I have some experience tuning off brand injection systems - SDS, DTA/Muzzy. If you're close, I'm free all day everyday until I find a mechanical engineering job. Or if you're close to Mason City, I might be up there some times too.
Let me know,
Later,
Jeremy
