Hi Everyone. I've been reading lots trying more and even fring lotsa bad ideas. I got a 89 - 165 ECM in a 89 IROC 355 LT4 HOT 1.6 RR, 3inch Flow, 30# SVO, Crane AFPR all the way out 42psi) , GN stock fuel pump brand new. more gph 10+, and more psi 10+. 58 mm BBK TB, IAT Relocated to under K&N in stock air box, bosch MAF w screens . Slp 1 5/8 shorties, Dart SR torquer II heads 2.02 1.60. 10 to 1. **** trans ... busted my good one 30 mph burns in traffic. I got it linked got data cant fiqure out whats the real answer I've tried alot of stuff Read Everything for MAF & SD. I have burned a ll sorts of chips mixing ARAP w stock timing / MAF tables more timing for cam EGR . I want to find out how to get the most power . I overheat. Bad have high BLM's, cannot rip *** off of idle. even with **** high velocity no RPM stock upper. I used to lose trans ( 4) over torque.
If anyone uses 30' SVO's with a 89 Turbo Fuel pump whats their constant and PSI on the rail running no vac.
Im experimenting and have yet to understand.
I also noticed the A/F Ratio going to around 11.0 or 10.7 yeek. Is this causing flame out!?
Most Power from Timing. PE/ I also tried lots a bins and changes but my blm's got *right without too much heat and I logged lotsa horse. Itried to set the timing to avoid most knock 2at start showing then normally 2 aprt or full . I tried 89 vett and ARAP tables plus no adder in pe . and all sorty. My arap bin(FI 33 # constant )3deg at balance 6 in bin .55 tps only w high RPM.
I need relaible HP. like old school I ll modify the table to lock at a deg for power after a high lv8
I care about 400+ HP w/ no crap from hot days 1st then part throttle
I tried alot of stuff followed may diffrent posts taking advice from the sensible, experienced and Wise thei final answers experience and hard but valuable unluck.
Advice in adjusting my timing
.In my68 its 12deg at idle I run 32deg total (more with water)all in by 3000 in my 70 400 11:1 Fed - Amoco Clear 93 Only BEST Gas in US .400 + hp all day RA III Feed it to run everyting gets amoco clear my chain saw included. I dont want gas to be a melted piston. The bin I got now can used good impovements like BLM's and stop creeping temp and more Hp / I 'm ok with knock even thought I am going to set the balancer/base @ 8 then adj the bin to not knock in lower rpm/ load sits but giveme the response of power.Please contibute by examine ing my lost stuff
Whats the deal with ARAP & SCCA 100% for PE .! I got 70% PE and
I drove the car to Vermont 330mi thank *** my jyard trans didn't quit and snow didn't fall
(Sand Doesn't help at all or 2nd or...) the Iroc ran 190' allthe way I had no knock ... I'll atach logs and bin any advice from experience would help. I want to adjust all my tables for the least heat / most power . I cant bear cooking the thing anymore. I need a Alum rad to help 400 HP possible but unacchived consistantly. pleas revie and stone
