32&32B Whats the difference
Is 32 what the aftermarket use to program and is 32b what tunercat uses I would like to know what to use to read a tpis prom. Thanks in advance
I don't use Tunercat yet, but I believe $32b is the '165 code for 87s and 88s. As for actualy differences, I'm not really sure. I have a stock 87 chip and a stock 86 chip. Maybe sometime I'll do a bin compare and see what I can see.

32- 1986
32b - 1987-1988
The two are programmed differently, has nothing to do with aftermarket or not. The bin files themselves arent interchangeable, like for example the fuel tables are not at the same address between the two.
TPIS prom huh... well I havent read one but I have heard about their trick. I wouldnt bother.

Hmmmmm.
Tunercat sells editing modules, they dont sell program codes. They have editors for both 32 and 32B. The 32 and 32B refer to the programming code GM used, like 6E, 8D... I'm sure if youre reading here you have seen those tossed around. You need the right editor to read the code, otherwise none of the information you bring up will be right, if it will even open it. Basically, you go by the year of the code, and use the appropriate editor.
You're gonna run into some snags trying to read that TPIS chip. My guess from what you know, you wont figure it out... no offense.
