bin addressing question...
I'm reading through the BUA hack and am trying to corelate it to my own bin via WinHex and WinBin.
For example, the hack (as well as the 32B mask that I use) show checksum starting at offset 006. I start WinBin on my latest burn, note the checksum, then open the bin file in WinHex, check offset 006 and !! not the same!!
Specifically, the checksum of my latest burn is 7808 (per WinBin). Offset 6 in WinHex shows those 2 bytes as 6E2E. I'd appreciate any thoughts here. It is getting late for me and maybe I'm tired, but I expected to see the same values.
As an aside, I've used WinHex in the past to change fuel start/stop rev limits and it corelated fine to the bin.
thanks

okay,
I'm an idiot
.
I had a thought and checked where WinHex was opening the file from and it wasn't the latest version!
Life is good - checksum is okay and I can continue trying to understand the hack better. Don't ask me why I had 2 different bins with the same name though...
