I am so sick of this damn car. I still have not gotten a damn code 12 out of it. How do I know if the programmer is programming teh schips right? It won't program my regular chips. IT will only do flash chips.I so badly want this Fuel Injection to work but I can't figure out for the life of me what is wrong. I am going to try one more memcal and I might as well pick up another ECM while it is under warranty. If all that don't work I am just going carb so I can drive it. this is supossed to be fun. HA! Ever since I started using Flash chips the programmer has been acting really weird. At first it wouldn't even program the flash chips. Then it wouldn't program anything. IT would just say device programmed and tehn when I would check it. IT would be blank. Now it will program a flash chip but nothing else. The car ran fine before with a regular chip then I bought flash chips and programmed one and then ever since thenI have not got the car started. This sucks.

Thanks for any help

Shawn

Did you start with the lowest possible programming voltage for the chips you are using? Anything higher than what they are supposed to be at can apparently render the chip useless.

Possible that the ZIF in the burner isn't making contact on all the pins?

I have had some small problems with pulled 32K EPROMs but I haven't had any trouble with 256's.

If you leave the chip in the eraser for too long will it make the chip useless? I am ordering new ones so I can give it another try and I am ordering a new memcal tomorrow.
