Can someone please explain some of the WinALDL flags to me??

What does the "DRP Occured" flag mean?

Also my "ECCM Rich/Lean Slow" flag keeps checking and unchecking. What does this flag mean and why would it be fluctuating so much??

Also I am going to probably print out some of my results and send them back with my chip so it can be fine tuned. Most of my BLM numbers are in the 116-122 range. I have a few that are as low as 111. I know this means I'm running rich, however at certain RPM levels I am getting 200+ knock counts!! What could be causing this??

well the rich/lean slow flag is about blms being out of range. as for the 200+ knock counts i awlays remeber the 383 storker to be detonation sensitive.the drp ?? i really dont look at the flags that much. i use the sensor data and the blm's and the integrator readings the most.

Would it be to my benefit to send all of my recorded data to FastChip and have them retune my chip?? Also could something in the chip be causing me to get a code for low TPS voltage at idle, eventhough the volts never drop below .54???

yeah fast data would most likely love to have that data. as for the low tps voltage code i think you need to sweep check the sensor with a DVM. see if you have a flat spot in the sensor.

DRP is Distributer Reference Pulse.

The rich/lean flag is showing the O2 sensor cycling from rich to lean. Don't worry about it. It'll keep going on and off.

If you recently had a bad TPS then the ECM stores that code for X amount of start-ups. So it could be an old code that's still being stored in the ECM.

116-122 is a little on the rich side. Watch how much you push the gas down when collecting data. I found that I need to stay lower than 13% throttle or the accelerator enrichment will throw my data off.

I talked to FastChip today and this is what they told me:

Turn my fuel pressure down to about 47psi and that should bring my BLM's to around 120 which is where he said I should be.

Turn my TPS up to about .65

Drop my timing to 6 degrees to cut down on knocks

And install a 160 degree t-stat.

I did the first two tonight.....the other two have to wait until sunday. After that I'll get the laptop back on it.
