stalls with A/C on

I finally got the programmer and tunercat software. I burned a new chip and my car runs so much better. It starts, idles on its own, and goes into gear cold with no problems. However, when i turn on the A/C at idle the engine will bog down and die. Turn it off and it is fine. Once it warmed up I test drove around the block and tried the A/C. Blows cold while driving but at a stop sign it died again. I did try the raise the "add to idle A/C on" constant, but that seems to do nothing for it. Anyone have any ideas? Let me know.

Try a little more fuel at idle, and maybe taking a little timing out.

When the trottle blade opening is just sooo small, the extra load just will force a stall.

You also want to make sure the min idle speed is set just right.

Or just delete the A/C......
Real cars use HP for other matters..

Thanks for the reply.

Whats the best way to set the min. idle setting?

Also S. FLorida is pretty hot and humid all year long and I don't like to sweat while driving around town.

I turn the key on with the ALDL jumped A-B. Then wait a minute and unplug the IAC. Key off, unjump ALDL. Disconnect EST as applicable (Distributor cars need to unpleug it).
Start engine, set idle speed just so the engine will idle half decent, ie smooth, and steady, but no higher then that.
Reset TPS as needed.
Then try to get a good idle with 0 IAC counts.

You might try adding some IAC counts AC on to get to a new block for timing, and fuel, that would proably be a good way to go.

If the car is KEWL enough you won't sweat.....
Just teasin ya.
