Guys,

I was replacing the PROM with another one and I broke the black plastic holder thing that the chip goes into before plugging into the ECM. Does anyone know where I can get another one? The dealer wants to sell me that plastic thing and PROM too. I only need the black plastic holder. My PROM works fine. I would really appreciate any advice you can give me.

You are going to have to get a new memcal. try www.gmpartsdirect.com should be about 45 bucks.

 

That'll be tough, seeing how he doesn't have a MEMCAL....he's running TBI so it's just a PROM and a plastic cup that makes removal easy.

Hit the junkyard.

 

lol, figures...I havent messed with any of the TBI ecms. Take a look at Ebay, might scare something up there.
