What is the difference in the Diacom plus and regular Diacom?

Diacom plus can log unlimited ecm data frames.

Not true. Diacom Plus is still limited by the amount of main memory it can access. As it runs in DOS, the most it can store is 1 MB less the amount of overhead in the DOS setup (TSRs etc).

But, Diacom Plus can modify the amount of frames that is stored. You can change this memory size and vary the amount stored while regular Diacom is fixed (not sure if it's smaller).

There are also some differences in the ability to "trigger" the beginning of data capturing and you can customize you display with Diacom Plus.

If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't get Diacom but use Craig's software. There is a lot more flexibilty and alternatives if you use Craig's software. The one advantage of Diacom is that it works on any GM car from 1982 to 1995 if you have other GM cars of that vintage you need to diagnose. Unfortunately, many of the older cars didn't communicate much information and the scan is virtually uselss.
