speed sensor
i think many people may have this problem,or it could be my old motor. well i had the 305 lg4 in my car. when it was in i had problems getting above 3000rpm in 5th gear. i have 2.73 gears in the rear. i think i may have been an electronic cut off.like a speed sensor that cuts the fuel when above a certain speed. is there such a sensor and can i disconnect it w/o sacrificing drivability?
i have the rochester quadrajet and mechanical fuel pump. help is greatly appreciated.
thanks

I dont know about your particular set up, even if there is a speed limiter on your car, but with mine (l98), from looking into the prom alittle, the speed limiter is set to 255mph, so basically there is none
um, I am not the most knowledgable on what came with what, but what year is the car? the carb is computer controlled, correct? Give as much infor about it as you can. Then you way want to look at Trax's intro article which is stickied above, I dont remember, but I think it may have mentioned the ecm type for the computer controlled carbs
